We've been playing with the new BMW 116i Sport
This week we have the BMW 116i Sport in for review and road test. Is the new entry-level BMW experience a big step forward? It’s hard to believe that the BMW 1 Series has been with us for seven years, or maybe that’s just a sign of getting older?
Porsche has released a video featuring its Design Director, Michael Mauer, explaining how he and his team went about redesigning the 911, an ‘automotive, engineering icon' as he describes it. "What we as designers are striving to above all is to optimize the width to height ratio with the result that although the 911's width has not increased, the front axle area has become wider, and we've managed to make the roof a bit lower," Mauer explains via a rather dramatic-sounding voiceover.
The Mitsubishi CUV hits New York
We could have also thrown in to the mix of the confused headline ’Mitsubishi Compact Crossover’ and then we’d have covered all the possibilities for Mitsubishi’s competitor in the Compact SUV market – think Hyunda ix35/Ford Kuga/ VW Tiguan. And it’s been rolled out for its North American début at the New York Motor Show this last week, hence the extra name to add to the mix. The Americans seem to think that the Mitsubishi CUV is going to launch in North America as the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, and they may be right.
